For Adults & Returning Players
It's not too late — it never was. Whether you've never touched a piano or played as a child and stopped, we start exactly where you are and build from there.
Most of my adult students thought they'd missed their chance. Professionals in their thirties and forties, parents who always wanted to play, retirees with finally enough time. You don't need talent, a background in music, or even your own piano to begin — you need an hour a week and a little patience with yourself. I bring the rest.
“We met Ms Ceren about two years ago; thanks to her, my daughter came to love the piano. She is a teacher who can connect with every age group. So glad she touched our lives ❤️🙏”— Ms Işıl, Melisa's (5) Mother
What a lesson looks like
We work on music you actually want to play — not endless scales you'll quietly come to resent. Lessons adapt to a busy week: if you only practiced twice, we make those two sessions count. Adults learn differently than children, and after ten years I've learned to teach to that — connecting theory to what your hands are already doing, and keeping every lesson musical from the first minute.

Lessons take place at my studio on Deichstraße 32 in central Hamburg. For home lessons I travel across the city — students come to me from these districts and the neighbourhoods around them:

No. I've taught complete beginners well into their sixties and seventies. Adults often progress faster than children on the things that matter to them, because they practice with intention and know what they want to play.
Not for the trial. To make real progress you'll eventually want an instrument at home — even a weighted digital keyboard is fine. I'll help you choose one that fits your space and budget before you spend anything.
Twenty focused minutes a few times a week beats one long cram. We set a realistic rhythm around your schedule, and I'll show you how to practice so the time actually counts.
That's completely normal at the start. We learn to read gradually, alongside playing — you'll be making music long before notation feels automatic.

No commitment. We meet, you try the piano, and we talk about what you'd like to play. If it feels right, we keep going.
